Today, I was on the phone with my best guy friend, who I have loved for years. I was talking about school and all of a sudden he said, "I love you." I flipped out saying, "Oh my god, oh my god. I love you too!" He responded with, "What?" He was talking to his mom, who was walking out the door. FML

Today, my best friend whom I have been in love with for years, called me, proposed, and confessed his love for me. He was at a noisy bar so I asked him to call me back later and we'd discuss it. He called back later, hungover, with no recollection of our conversation whatsoever. FML

Today, at a bus stop my friend told me that he loved me. I, reacting on impulse, told him how long I've wanted to hear him say that, and kissed him. Then I realised the look on his face. Turns out he'd said 'I need new shoes' not 'I love you.' FML

act like it never happened and if he ever brings it up say "really I said that" try not to sound sarcastic though say it as if it where just another surprising fact like as if he told you something like "did u know ost aids is transferred through mosquitos" or something

Oh God... Awkward! Well, if he's worthy of your affections then your friendship will get past this little mishap. Hopefully he'll even think about it. If you were totally rejected then just know that most everyone else also deals with something like that at some point in their lives.
