Today, I was on the phone with my best guy friend, who I have loved for years. I was talking about school and all of a sudden he said, "I love you." I flipped out saying, "Oh my god, oh my god. I love you too!" He responded with, "What?" He was talking to his mom, who was walking out the door. FML

Today, my best friend whom I have been in love with for years, called me, proposed, and confessed his love for me. He was at a noisy bar so I asked him to call me back later and we'd discuss it. He called back later, hungover, with no recollection of our conversation whatsoever. FML

Today, at a bus stop my friend told me that he loved me. I, reacting on impulse, told him how long I've wanted to hear him say that, and kissed him. Then I realised the look on his face. Turns out he'd said 'I need new shoes' not 'I love you.' FML

i agree with # 56. but its not really a bit deal, me and my girl best friend says that every now and then. its not really a big deal, we even flirt w ea other eventhough i have a girlfriend, and she has a best friend. since u have crush on him, then i guess u could always say "i love ya too. well, like a brother." but its best if u confess because otherwise it would be really painful, just like what #56 said.

56... WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once those "feelings" are confessed, especially if they are one sided the friendship is forever changed... Even if both parties don't want it to change! I've been there (both ways), known people who have been there, and just understand basic human psychology! I do agree that usually it is better than holding it in because i've done that too... but don't think that it will just stay the same after, that is far from true!

Even if he realizes you weren't joking, this might not be a bad thing You really should tell him how you feel if it's been years already And if he doesn't feel the same way, you can move on and find someone who does :)
