kinda reminds me of a story that happened to me a few weeks ago, it was the night of my school dance, and i was about to leave.. as soon as i start walking towards my car, i hear footsteps behind me and all i hear is someone saying im gonna kill you.. im gonna kill you.. so i started to speedwalk, then the person screams my name, it was my friend all along and he thought i was mad at him or ignoring him , he didnt believe the i didnt know it actually was him lmfao, but anyway yee i wouldnt have known that someone would actually return a five dollar bill, so i wouldve just looked back for like a second, but i probably mightve done the same thing
I'm not going to bother replying to specific posts, there would be too many. But, a few points to make: 1) people mentioning a "defenseless" woman and saying fyl are idiots. Unless you're paralyzed, there's no excuse not to be able to defend yourself. Take martial arts classes, stay in shape, respond aggressively if someone attacks you. 2)It's true that the vast majority of people aren't out to get you; it's also true that you're better of accidentally hurting someone than getting raped. The reaction here wasn't completely unreasonable, at least she didn't spray while turning like an earlier fml where a lady sprayed her own shadow. 3)Don't trust mace to protect you. It can be fairly easily overcome by a focused attacker. If someone really wants to hurt you mace will not stop them, you would be better off with a handgun or a nice big knife.
to the person above...obviously to this person the man sounded threatening. Majority of people are not going to put themselves in a position to get hurt or possibly killed. Anyway, to the person who wrote this, i completely understand your fear, parking garages are freaky as hell and so are people following you saying hey stop
It's his fault for saying "Hey! Stop!" instead of saying "Miss, you dropped something!"
If your approaching a complete stranger, in a parking lot, when they're not even looking at you, it's better to say "excuse me miss" than "HEY! STOP"!

Today, I noticed someone leaving the parking garage. She dropped a 5-dollar-bill. I picked it up and tried to return it to her, but when I caught up to her, she turned around and threatened to spray me with mace. FML.
lol at #2 But yeah I once saw an old man drop his glasses without realising, so being a good citizen, I picked them up and ran after him. I got punched by a passer-by who thought I was trying to jump the old man. FML
