It’s very unusual for a mom-to-be to throw her own baby shower. That’s a faux pas because it makes it look like it’s just for the gifts. Generally a friend or relative (but not the husband) throws the baby shower… OP, you have my sympathy - “Hormones” are bad but so is an excessive sense of entitlement and you are dealing with both. About the best you can do is to nod your head and sympathize but try to avoid becoming part of the self-pity-party you wife is now throwing.
You married her and knocked her up. Suck it up. This is the easy part.
