Since the crime was armed robbery and not murder, I'm guessing the victim dodged a bullet. That makes two of you!
That’s when you give them your contact info and let them know you’ll come by the police station the next day to fill out a full statement, but you are leaving. Now. The only reason they can keep you there is if there is reasonable belief that the criminal is an immediate threat to himself or others.
Weird, I always heard eye witnesses were the worst kind of evidence because the brain can make you falsely remember information. Considering you had a prior obligation you were trying to get to, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some details you missed. But regardless, the cops probably kept you because they wanted to get the information while it was fresh in your mind. But it definitely still sucks that you had to miss your own wedding because of it. Wonder what everyone thought when they found out.
are you sure you really wanted to get married? that situation wouldn't have stopped someone truly in love. your subconscious is probably trying to tell you something. evaluate before trying the altar again. unless you're just a weenie with no balls. (sorry, couldn't help it)
