Get it done

Today, while working as a cart attendant, I found one of my coworkers on a lawn chair sipping on a Bud Light in the parking lot, while we both were supposed to be working, leaving me to push carts by myself. My boss comes out to me catching my breath and tells me to work harder. FML

Tell your boss to give your coworker a breathalyzer test. Pretty sure it's illegal to be intoxicated while on the job at most places.

Great idea. What could possibly go wrong?

Maybe he didn't see your coworker.

Tell him about the other guy drinking beer and if he doesn't listen, sounds like you need to find a better job.

Snap a picture of your coworker. I know nobody likes a rat, but still. Your coworker drinking on the job is probably grounds for termination. Then your boss might hire a replacement who actually has a decent work ethic.

Don't you have a machine to help push anyway, instead of hand pushing the whole time?

not every place has those. the store I used to work at doesn't. they had to do it all on their own.

I have never heard of a machine that helps push carts. Neither my local Walmart or Hannaford has something like that. I don't know if my Price chopper has something like that.

I've seen those little motor cart pushers and only certain chains use them. It's not an issue of lot size but whether a business wants to spend the money for one of those.

Hm, well the place I work at has one. Plus, groups of those things are heavy as **** to push, every store should have at least one machine.

Or you can get off your ass and move them.

pretty sure that should result in automatic termination for your lazy co worker and he could even get arrested for drinking in public. I hate how hard working employees don't get the credit they deserve but lazy ones get away with everything.

Today, my coworker is a better slacker than I am. FML.

The moral high-ground never felt so shitty. Sorry op.

Looks like it's time to throw a co-worker under the bus.

Your boss will probably high-five him. Some people get away with murder.

"Suck it up! But not the air." "How about the beer my coworker is having right over there?"
