Today, I found a letter in the postbox at my new flat which ran something along these lines of: "Hi. We're the gas company. You owe us £1,229.79 and have 7 days to pay us. Lotsa love, dated 7th September." FML

The phrase "postal strike" springs to mind lol. I got the opportunity to win £300 last week, but cuz of strikes I only got the letter the day after the deadline. Sucks to be you really.

haha i live in nottingham too and we got a similar bill the other day - they told us the bailiffs were coming. we just called the company, told them it was the previous tenants and they said we wouldn't hear from them again. problem solved :)
