Today, my family and I were celebrating my dad's birthday. The two of us were standing by the pool chatting, and I jokingly said "You're old now." I suppose I should have expected him to shove me into the pool, my phone still in hand, and retort, "You're soaked now." FML

Because generally saying something in jest to your father shouldn't result in him doing something so thoughtless and your phone being destroyed. Could you imagine the reaction if this was an FML about a kid that thought he was being unfairly punished for pushing his father in the pool as a joke, and accidentally ruining HIS phone? What would you vote then??

you had your phone in your hand.. chances are pretty big that you can still save it if you kept it above the water. Phones don't like water, but they're not destroyed by the tiniest drop of it
