Today, I told my boyfriend I was pregnant. He seemed thrilled, and went to buy some wine to celebrate. He left 11 hours ago and won't come back. FML

The fact he said he was getting wine should've been the first hint.

he went to buy wine...you can't even drink wine, did you really think he was comming back

why is everyone saying "wine and pregnancy, red flag?" when you are pregnant you are allowed one glad of red wine a day... or one beer. and saying "it's your fault you got pregnant" um no, it's both of theirs... he had the option of putting on a condom, he didn't. I hope the best for you hun, if he doesn't come back believe me your stronger then you think, I am a single mom of two kids, you can do it! best of luck!

Condoms (or any birth control method) are NOT 100% effective. They could have been using a condom and she could have been taking birth control, but that doesn't mean that she wont get pregnant.

well that's a future dead beat dad.

Give him some time, and good luck! But are you allowed to drink wine if you're pregnant?

LOLOLOLOLOLOL Sorry OP He aint coming back

I hate boys like this!!! When will they learn to take responsibility of their actions! I hope you're doing okay! Hang in there and congrats to ya!

well it is clear that he does not want to have the baby so even if you force him to accept this, there won't be a happy ending. Leave him and raise the baby on your own or have an abortion if you truly feel you cannot provide for your baby. Also, please don't be one of those people who say "oh, he is the man he should take responsibility" because you both have equal responsibility in this event. Either own it up and take care of the baby yourself, or try again later in life when both parties are prepared.

Op kind of has to handle the baby, it's not going anywhere unless something drastic happens. The guy, not so much. Wanting time to think doesn't mean he is going to be a shit father or that he is abandoning her.

Why would he buy wine to celebrate your pregnancy when you shouldn't be drinking alcohol...?
