Grow up

Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, because apparently I need to "grow up". He's the one who excessively plays Call of Duty and still has Pokémon and Bionicles in his room. FML

Yep, you definately need to grow up. There's nothing wrong with playing video games and having 'collectables' (aka Toys) as long as they don't take over your life. Your childish reaction to this breakup shows me that you need to grow up regardless if he does or not.

So? He plays with toys, but that doesn't mean he's immature. He meant "grow up" as in be more mature.

She didn't say those things made him immature though it may be implied somewhat, it doesn't mean she was trying to imply it. If he is playing CoD EXCESSIVELY then he has most likely been ignoring her to play it which makes him immature as hell. I personally don't see why you would want to play that game since I hate shooters and get easily scared but, boys don't tend to and get addicted. If he still plays with his Pokemon toys and Bionicles by HIMSELF then it may not make him immature but, if he wasn't spending any time with his girlfriend to do it then he will not be getting another relationship very easily. One of the main things a relationship needs is communication, if he is spending all of his time playing CoD then he IS immature and won't have been spending any time talking with her. I think you are better off without him though, you are better off with someone that doesn't excessively play CoD and will actually spend time with you. When one door closes, another opens. Hope you get a boyfriend that is better for you. Before anyone goes off at me, I still play Pokemon and don't mind Bionicles. CoD is something I probably would never play since I don't like shooters but, I don't care if someone plays it. And I saw one of the comments say there is no such thing as excessively playing CoD, to whoever that was: YEAH THERE IS, YOU PROBABLY EXCESSIVELY PLAY IT ALL THE TIME. Oh and to people who keep saying it is rated mature so he must be mature: No. Just no. Stop talking and go visit reality. A game rating does NOT show how mature someone is. Maturity is shown by how someone acts, not what games they play. Got it memorised?

He probably meant you need to grow up emotionally, which you clearly do if you think surrounding yourself with things you enjoy has any bearing on how 'grown up' you are.
