Talk about being so drunk that you forget everything.
You missed a golden opportunity to test his honestly by asking him "if he had a girlfriend" and to see if he was willing to cheat.
Do you really think that if he didn't remember his own girlfriend he would remember whether he actually had one or not?
Actually, yes... A lot of people have trouble recognizing faces anyway, and being drunk will make it worse.

No one should do that. If you have to "test" your SO, then, obviously you don't trust them, and, if you don't trust them, you shouldn't be in a relationship with them. As a female, I think that girls who feel the need to test their SOs and actually do test them are giving us a bad rap. Trust your SO until they give you a reason not to and don't test them.

Isn't that common?
This once happened to me, except I was with a friend, it was dark outside, I was in a relatively unfamiliar place, and I was under the influence of a mix of a couple different substances, not alcohol. I remember staring at him and trying for the life of me to recognize him and recall who I was with. He wasn't a super close friend or anything, if that helps my case at all. I knew I could ask him but that would have been ridiculously embarrassing. Eventually I came to my senses. It wasn't the most comfortable thing to experience. Don't mix drugs, kids.
