My window doesn't work either, but when I get pulled over I wait until they walk up to the window, show them that both of my hands are empty, tell them the window doesn't work, and wait for them to tell me to open the door.

For those of you saying "**** the police", it's common knowledge that you NEVER get out of your car after being pulled over. About every policeman with training will see it as a potential threat, draw their gun, and possibly shoot you. If your window is broken, wait until he walks up, then let him know. It sucks for what happened to OP, but people should really know these things.

That really sucks. My driver door windows broke to. You shoulda waited till he got to your car and said windows broke im gonna open my door. They woulda understood.

To all the people that say "guns are dangerous and should be banned": There are so many things that can be used as a weapon. Sharpened pencils, pens, broken plastic, etc. In about 3 hours and a few trips to Home Depot, I can make something similar to a a sling bow. If we ban guns, it will make then harder to obtain, but not impossible. You can buy a rather large knife fairly easily, and it's just as easy to rob a place with a knife as it is with a gun. Who cares if they're "made to kill"? Their primary civilian use these days is sporting.

Sounds like a good deal to me, I would take a couple shots of a night stick to get off with a warning.
