I've seen kids do things like that haha, just explain to her that carpets don't have grooming needs

You should probably try to keep scissors away from your children when they're somewhere you can't see them. Six year olds aren't really known for their good judgement, and the next time she might try to cut her own hair or even accidentally injure herself.

Or the kid might have been like me when I was that age. Even if the scissors were hidden, the kid could have snuck around and found the scissors.

Around her age, I thought my barbie dolls hair would grow back so I decide to cut all the way up her neck and color with markers. She young and just using her imagination. Maybe she thought it needed a haircut.

...she's a KID for heaven's sakes! I shake my head at people who have such high expectations of children that age. This has nothing to so with stupidity or bad parenting for that matter. Some of you grown ups been to grow up!
