Hood life

Today, my car wouldn't start because of the cold weather. Since I was at a friend's house, I asked him to jump-start it. After taking about ten minutes to start his vehicle and park it by mine, we found that both of our car hoods were frozen shut. FML

Just go on Facebook and make a picture that says. 100 likes and my car will turn on. That should work.

The solution is obvious: Stay at your friend's house until spring. YWIA.

And don't forget to use up all the hot water when showering & eating the last of all his favorite snacks Op... that's what makes a great guest

I dunno I kind of feel that I need to play Candy Crush to achieve the car start

I'm so proud for voting for this because it truly is a horrible happening.

Just be grateful your keyhole for your door didn't freeze

Throw hot water on the hoods. Should do the trick, wipe them off quickly though!

Maybe just let each of them run for 30 min? That'll that yer frozen shit

OP car doesn't start, so how is this a good solution?

"That'll that yer frozen shit" Pure analytical GENIUS!!!!

That's a good friend who would do that in such cold weather

tap along the seams with a rubber mallet or dull object..the running car will thaw...can no one do things for themselves anymore..geez

Their car won't start, how is it supposed to run?

crazydave1998 6

they said they had one car running..that one will thaw..duh

And how will they thaw the other one? Cuddle with it?

TheDrifter 23

Tapping with a mallet will break the ice, allowing you to open the hood. By the time op has done their hood the running car's hood should be thawed from engine heat.

It was so cold here that my power steering line popped off (-39) Then we got to put it back together in the parking lot ...yay (Things you never think would go wrong because of cold lol )
