On the plus side, your boss can count on you not wanting to engage in any... ...wait on it... ...horseplay.
Wow, horses really wait patiently for revenge!
Just rest and recover for now, you'll be back on the saddle in no time at work.
First you go to the doctor then have a vet see your horse, they tend to be grumpy if they have a infection or parasite.
You have to make your own decision. Which is more important to you? Your job? Or your leg? You may not even be at your company anymore in a year. But damage to your leg is forever. Most companies don’t give 2 sh*ts about their employees. Just care if the work gets done. The longer your on your leg the longer it’s going to take to heal. And it may even get worse if you don’t let it heal.
Uh
I had the same thing happen to me. A horse i was training kicked me right in the knee(with thick metal shoes on) because he got excited over grass 😑 I had to stay home from school for at least a week to rest it. You must take care of yourself OP, or things could get a lot worse. Best of luck to you!
I’d get the knee checked to make sure you don’t have a tibia plateau. That would be a nasty break and a kick from a horse can definitely cause that. Tibia Plateau are one of the worst. All the weight of your body rests on that small area of bone. If not treated, your leg will be crippled for life.
Don’t ruin your leg for life. When I moved into my apartment I fell down the stairs because I was excited and twisted my ankle. That was 7 years ago and it still hurts. I went to work right after and tried using every brace and ace bandage I could, but I should of stayed off of it and had it checked out sooner. You will regret it.
Did you go to the doctor?
Sounds like the horse is ready to feed the dogs
