Today, I took my parents and 3 sisters to the airport so they could take a trip to Hawaii. I wasn't invited because they don't like my husband. They asked me to watch the dog and water the plants. FML

Today, as planned, my dad confirmed that he would be flying up to visit me for the weekend. Not planned, however, was that my whiny and high-maintenance sister invited herself along too. There's no way I can dis-invite her without offending my dad. FML

Today, my parents asked me if I was sure I didn't want to join them on a family trip tomorrow with my sister. I was never invited, and unlike the rest of the family, I have a full-time job where I can't just take days off with no warning. This is how they announce most "family trips" to me. FML

Today, my sister and I were planning a trip to get away from things and visit some faraway friends. My dad then decided to insert himself into our plans. He got mad when we said no, and couldn't understand why we wanted to go by ourselves. FML

Today, all I wanted was to take my two kids and their two favourite cousins to the beach on their last day of vacation together. My mother-in-law went into full beast mode, shouting about how I'm always roaming around and being irresponsible. The kids never meet and are from different cities. FML

Today, I went over to confront my parents about how my siblings always get to visit and all I do when I’m over is work on their house or take care of grandma. My mom was very upset. Then she snuck out with my sister, leaving me to take care of grandma until she got back. FML

Kill the plants, feed and walk the dog and take this time to mark down everything you want from the house as an inheritance after they "pass on to greener pastures." Just for fun, go through their bank statements, see how much credit card debt they have, notate any life insurance policies, see if anyone is having an affair (credit card statements), snoop through their drawers (but be subtle) see if you can find their wills. In case you have been disinherited, sell stuff from their basement on ebay (who checks their basement anyway???). Steal and shred old love letters, buy some millipedes from the pet store and leave them in their bathrooms, see if they have any old **** lying around and take pics of same. Check for naked pictures of themselves and if you find any, post them on the internet with their names tagged. Don't think of this as a punishment, think of this as an opportunity. Your parents should never have given you the keys... ;-)

check the dog into a kennel, lock up the house and leave them a note where they can pick up Fido.... if you are feeling vindictive, put a huge f'ing banner in the front window of their house saying "On vacation, Back (DATE)"

If you took them to the airport I assume you are supose to pick them up from the airport. Don't pick them up. Have other plans that day.

leave the dog loose around the house. Let the dog do whatever he likes in the house. smash the plants and take your husband to hang out while they were to return. dont pick them up .
