Try getting your own pets.
That's pretty insensitive of you. You get their hopes up, and just inquire about their pets. That's cruel. If you cared for their pets so much, you would have stayed with the asshole person for their sake. This is why most marriages last as long as they do.
Sounds like if you date people without pets, you'll find another excuse to call them. Delete their numbers and move on with your life. Stop living in the past.
So are you saying you change relationships often because that is not smart, stop doing that and grow the hell up.
why not? if it's not working out hopefully she would be smart enough to get out of it and move on. if I know something isn't working out there's no way in hell I'm staying and being miserable.
Let. Go.
I feel for you. I just found out that my cat's mother and half-brother, who belonged to a friend I'd lost touch with, died this week. I cried.
I let my ex have our dog after she threatened to have me evicted if I didn't give him to her. She then abandoned him to the shelter instead of giving him back to me. her mom told me this, so I immediately went and got him. That was 4 years ago. I still have the dog, and my crazy ex still texts me and asks me about him, and I always roll my eyes and make fun of her desperation to my friends. You're only making yourself look dumb. Let it go.
Maybe you should have a relationship with their pets since you seem to care more about them than your ex-lovers.
You ever considered that you might be aromantic, if you are more interested in the platonic companionship of pets than the romantic companionship of humans? Might not be the case, but it's worth a thought. (And you can be aromantic without be asexual, so being sexually attracted doesn't rule out being aro.)
