You have been dating for two months and what have you guys been doing? I'm pretty sure money was spent on previous dates by him or else you wouldn't feel the need to treat him to a dinner. Why whine about one hundred bucks when he most likely have spent even more on you?
Yeah or she is just a nice person.
You offered to pay, if he picked the place you still have a voice to say "I dont think I can afford there!" And if you STILL went, you STILL have the voice to say "I have about $XX dollars, lets keep it below please!" It's called COMMUNICATION! Do not assume, do not expect. Talk to one another, even while dating. Even new dating. Stick up for yourself. Again, even though you did offer to pay, you can also say NO if its too much!
I love how lots of people here dump their shitty sexist assumptions on everything involving dates and paying.

Maybe you should have stood your ground about which restaurant then and spoke up before he ordered. Sounds like you just expected him to pay instead. He didn’t make you pay when you were the one who said you’d be paying. It is still douchey to dump you after though.
I mean, unless he ditched as soon as he was done eating and left her with the bill knowing how expensive it would be. Either way he's obviously a giant asshole.
