I'm right here

Today, after applying for a promotion to a position which I've been working my ass off for two years to get, my managers thought it would be appropriate to discuss other applicants in front of me, even asking me to compare my resume with theirs to see the "caliber" of what I'm up against. FML

Very unprofessional of them. Details of other applicants should really be confidential. Anyway, good luck on getting your new job. However... something unfortunate could happen to the other resumes... >:)

Hopefully you have a kick ass resume..

*** 'em! Go out & start your own business. Then, the next time you see your former employers, tell 'em to kiss your ass...That's what I did & yes, it is immensely gratifying!!

I would get a hold of those resumes and put them somewhere really safe ( in my garbage).

OP's in the right here. It can be caliber or calibre. Citizens of the United States tend to use caliber though, so there that is. OP is from Australia though, so I'm not sure how much that helps...

hears what you do. go look for anther job (its obvious that there not going to give it to you). when you get to the interview tell that you want to be paid what the promotion would have. when you do get the job burn all the bridges that you can and get the hell out of there. best of luck op :)

Maybe some of you kids don't know this but that's what happens at job interviews.
