Improvise, adapt, overcome

By SomePeoplesKids - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - Canada - Okotoks

Today, I walked in on my daughter attempting to iron her pants with a hair straightener. She's 17. FML

Rather clever idea actually.

I do that all the time, it's great for shirt collars and around buttons!

This is actually a common thing to do. Many girls do this, and even on YouTube there are videos that give this as a tip for when you don't have an iron on you. For example if you go on vacation, you are obviously not going to bring an iron with you.

I've actually done this before . .

She's a teenager! We take the easy way out because getting out a iron is just too much work and such a hassle!!!

I is a great idea. I do it at hotels and with shirts. Innovative!

Straighteners are actually really good for pleated skirts. Here in NZ a lot of the school uniforms have pleats so its a good quick fix in between dry cleans.
