Improvise, adapt, overcome

By SomePeoplesKids - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - Canada - Okotoks

Today, I walked in on my daughter attempting to iron her pants with a hair straightener. She's 17. FML

Rather clever idea actually.

I do that all the time, it's great for shirt collars and around buttons!

That's a ******* win. I love it! Be proud of her ingenuity :)

It works. That's how my work shirts stay crisp. And I'm 21

Have you ever taught your daughter to use the actual iron?

I don't quite understand the issue. My iron broke so I use my straightener as well. It truly works just fine and even saves the time of whipping out an ironing board.

So I'm not the only one that does this?

That's actually a good idea.... I do it all the time. This isn't an FML at all lol

You may say its an FML but sometimes if you do it right it works better than an iron. At least she wants to look presentable with smooth clothes :)

Theyre great for delicate items! Your daughter's pretty smart, actually!
