Improvise, adapt, overcome

By SomePeoplesKids - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - Canada - Okotoks

Today, I walked in on my daughter attempting to iron her pants with a hair straightener. She's 17. FML

Rather clever idea actually.

I do that all the time, it's great for shirt collars and around buttons!

So be proud of her for being resourceful. :B

This is not an FML. I work at a country club, and if our uniforms get wrinkled, we don't have an iron there to use. But we do have a hair straightener, and it actually works really well.

My little sister put her wet clothes in the microwave to make them dry faster. At least flat ironing them doesn't burn holes through her clothes in the process.

Um a lot of people do that. Girls always have a straightener. Not so much an iron.

Her pants are made of hair. Which is basically saying that she's a very hairy nudist.

Hey, if it works, what's the problem?

So what? You obviously need to buy an iron. And why does it matter what age she is?

Uh, yeah. That works just as good as a regular iron. They're also called flat irons, not just straighteners. I use mine to do the same thing all the time.
