She isn't responsible...that's what insurance is for...
As a building Super, she isnt responsible. Unless you can prove she specifically flooded her OWN bathroom just to get yours ruined. Pipes burst, seals leak.
It's not her responsibility to pay for damages. That's what renters insurance is for.
That's actually not true. If she was the cause of the flood, she can be held responsible for said damages. Renters insurance comes in after that, when they have to decide who actually pays for the bill she gets. [EDIT] Same response goed to those posters above saying she isn't responsible. First off, she is IF she is directly responsible for the flood. We can't really judge this based on current info. Secondly, judging by this FML's post, it is likely though she is the cause of said flood. [EDIT]
