Don't listen to them. It's your life, not theirs. You get married and have children if you want and whenever you want.
You're absolutly fine on your own . You don't need children and a wife if you're not ready . How you live your life has nothing to do with your friends lives . :)

be glad that they try with you and want you to be happy. Even tho your content by the sounds of it. True friends are hard to come by, people forget the meaning and seriousness of the word they use.
It seems more like they want him to fit their ideals than to be happy. It's rather selfish of OP's friends to hold an intervention over something so person and not harmful.
