Invaded

Today, one of my employees called in after his 8-hour shift, explaining that he had bed bugs at home, found one on his shirt, and thinks they are in the store. I own a mattress shop. They'd spread. FML

Call the exterminator! FYL OP that sucks. Sorry

I'm sure he didn't intentionally bring them into the store. Just call an exterminator, and you should be fine :)

I hope business insurance covers this!

Well...at least he was nice enough(a little late though) to tell you. Most people I know wouldn't tell their boss.

Burn the mattresses, the bedding, the clothes and the employee!

I've got an idea! Just use posionous gas/radiation to kill all the bed bugs in the store! Then you might be able to still sell the beds! :P

You should know that bedbugs only feed at night on blood, of people sleeping in the bed, which is the only reason they are associated with beds. Even if one got in there, it wouldn't stick around.

Maybe he was just ******* with you. I hope it wasn't a teenage stoner pulling one over your eyes.

Hopefully it gets treated soon! Awful to imagine from an unknowing customers point of view :S

You can only see bed bugs through a microscope... You can't just find them on your shirt with plain eye

#88, bed bugs certainly can be seen with the naked eye. I know, my neighbors upstairs had them and we got them. Luckily, the exterminator did an awesome job and we haven't seen any evidence of them in over a year (I evidently am seriously allergic to bedbug bites).

#88 - You can if there are enough of them...

At least your employee was honest enough to call you and let you know
