It's a doggy dog world

Today, I brought my new puppy home. I saw her sniffing around, so I took her outside to do her business. She simply played in the grass for ten minutes, so I brought her in. She walked in the door, squatted, and shit. She has diarrhea. This is the fourth time today. FML

Just stay outside with your dog, sounds much cleaner.

When my Corgi was a puppy, I'd stay outside with him until he did his business. Walking them rather than just letting them play tends to get it done quicker. After the fourth time though, you deserved it.

This is quite normal for puppies. It's he'll annoying but they don't mark their territory other places that they really know their is theirs. So next time she does it, the. Clean it up without it noticing. But don't throw the paper/towel awey and then next time you take it out for a walk then bring the paper/towel with you. Place it somewhere on the ground and make the get the puppie's attention on it. Do that for a month or 2 and then stop it. Then it should figure out that it needs to do its business outside. And for for sake, don't give it attention if t does it inside

Diarrhea when first coming home is fairly common. It's stress from environment change and, is recently spayed, could be after effects of anesthesia. If it continues for more than 24 hours definitely get her into the vet. Set a schedule for your new puppy and do not waiver from it. Feed her at the same times each day and 30 min to an hour after take her outside. Stay with her until she does her business outside. Treat her, praise her, act like she's just done the most amazing thing! Expect accidents because they will happen. If you need to go out and cannot meet the schedule, by all means crate train. Good luck with your new friend!

This may sound weird, but when I first brought home my lab puppy he was absolutely terrified and constantly peeing in the kitchen, despite going outside many times. I took an old rag to soak up the pee and staked it outside, so he would recognize his scent outside and continue to go there. 3 years later and he hasn't gone in the house since.

Food change and new environment...keep puppy outside til she does her thing (yes, longer than 10 minutes!) then reward her with playtime...

For anyone who didn't understand check the poster's username. Yours Sincerely, Spongebob.

Just take her outside when you sense she might be about to start again so she learns where to do it. It's not like she can just read your mind and know where you expect her to go.
