depends on the "cult"...if by cult you mean something like "OMG shes not christian!!!! I don't agree with the religion she chose or see it as legitimate and the group that practices it should be burned at the stake!!!" then you are an idiot. if it's an actual manson/jim jones thing and the family supports it run like hell!

what do you define as a cult? I doubt if she was in a real cult they would have reacted that way.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. In that case, her parents best be expecting to cough up a ton of money or risk being disconnected from their daughter when they don't convert to Scientology...
