Keep walking

Today, I was out when a guy walking with his girlfriend eyed me up. I made a shocked face at him and kept walking. The next thing I knew, his girlfriend was beating the shit out of me claiming that I was "the other woman." I'd never seen the guy before in my life. FML

I don't ever understand why people always get mad or hate, or ready to throw a beating at the other guy or girl. They should have a talk with their significant other...or throw them a beating.

Why the shocked face? I've never cheated on any of my girlfriends but I do "eye up" other attractive women. The fact I'm with someone I love doesn't make me go blind. But this other woman is probably just a stupid bitch with extremely low self-esteem who has serious trust issues, so I'm not saying YDI... FYL definitely.

I think it goes without saying that when you're actually WITH your girlfriend it would be a better idea to not eye up other women. And it's entirely possible to restrain yourself from doing so.

@36 I agree completely. @37 No its not entirely possible. If an attractive person walks by its instinct to turn your eyes to them for a couple of seconds, it happens too quickly for you go 'Oh right, not allowed!'. Its completely normal, and people shouldnt react like OP did.

@53 I'm talking about about more than just a look for a couple seconds. I'm talking about a once over that lasts longer than a couple seconds. Which by OP's reaction, is most likely what the boyfriend did.

Mmm yes, because looking at someone for 2 seconds is perfectly ok, but 3 or 4 seconds??! TAKE HIM AWAY!

@57 The point is staring is rude and it makes most people uncomfortable. It's really not as difficult to understand and abide by as you're making it out to be. Do you really have that little of self control?

Looking some up and down is not staring. :)

@66, I see you edited your comment to seem less rude than what you had originally wrote. Looking someone up and down for a certain period of time IS staring. Although there is no excuse for how the girlfriend reacted, it's extremely inconsiderate to your partner to be making eyes at someone else with them right there. There really needs to stop being so many excuses people come up with to behave rudely and inconsiderately.

Umm, no I didnt, I made a typo. That was a crap assumption. And no, looking someone up and down for 4 seconds is not staring, its called checking someone out. Refer to comment number 65

You made a typo so you deleted more than half of what you originally wrote? Yeah, seems likely. Anyway, I'm tired of repeating myself. I suppose there's nothing left to say but that we should agree to disagree.

You got eyed up by him, and she hit YOU? Dear god, there must be some wires crossed in the system.

Call the cops and press charges, teach the crazy bitch a lesson.

Day 38: I'm still looking for the joke in this comment, it's just too hard to believe Sir FreshPie would actually write a serious, non sarcastic, dating wisdom comment
