Today, I got a super short pixie cut. All my boyfriend could do was stare at me, speechless. I thought he was taken aback by how cute it was, until he told me that I look exactly like my fifteen year-old brother. FML

Most guys do prefer long hair or esp not super short, the reason some movie stars look so awesome with it is because they have such great makeup on, done by professionals. Few can pull off a pixie cut and it is never a head turning look, sorry.

so was he like "hey baby, you look like your 15 year old brother! now come here, turn around, and bend over" or was it more like "uhhh...sweetie...you look like your 15 year old brother". because one response is clearly worse. short hair is cool. my girl has long hair, and she sheds more than my cats. my apartment has pretty girl long hair everywhere. and in bed her hair gets stuck on or under my arms, pulling on it. no big deal but a short hair cut would mean I have to sweep the floors less.

Everyone has the right to look however they want, and the OP may indeed look better with the pixie haircut (IMHO most don't, but that's me...) What IS an issue is that if her boyfriends opinion is so important to her, why didn't she discuss it with him first? Shows a lack of consideration...
