lol that's why you get his opinion first. there are two things my bf asked me never to do to my hair. 1) cut it short 2) dye it blonde. the good thing is I would never do those two things anyway so he's not really asking for much.

I'm a guy and honestly I am a huge fan of short hair on women, it definitely sets them apart from the crowd. But most of the women who have short hair have the proper facial structure to pull it off, like Emma, Mia Farrow, Morena Baccarin. That said, I also find bald women really attractive, especially if they have facial features like Gail Ann Dorsey. So this is really a purely subjective thing.

I fully agree with #75. OP, you kind of come off as a thoughtless asshole for not taking into consideration your boyfriend's opinion, especially since it bothers you so much that he dislikes it. Boyfriends and girlfriends alike have an OBLIGATION to please their significant other. Doing whatever you want without first consulting them, especially with such a big change, is disrespectful at best, malicious at worst.

Those statistics may be made up but just look at comments on this post: Very few are 100 percent in favor of short hair on a female. You have either " women look better with long hair" or " you have to have the right face". So there you go!
