Today, was my 16th birthday and I was supposed to be surprised with a new car. I have overheard my parents talking about bringing it home tonight while I was at a friend's house. We snuck back to my house to see them bring my car home. All I saw was my Dad crash my new car into a street lamp. FML

Makes me sick how spoiled some kids are. "OH I DIDN'T GET A CAR FOR MY BIRTHDAY." You should be thankful that you get to celebrate it and that your parents remembered it.

The point was not that she didn't get a car (she wouldn't be able to drive it yet anyway) the point was a graveyard plot is NOT a gift! It's creepy and weird!

I have a feeling OP used the example of a car because a lot of the people on here are American. From what we see here of America on TV etc a car seems like a birthday gift you guys would relate to. No one in the UK really gets cars for their 17th because they can't drive them yet!
