Make it stop

Today, I woke up with a splitting headache. Then someone at work wouldn't stop whistling loudly and it was getting on my nerves. "Can the dick who is whistling please stop?" I asked. It was the general manager of my department. I'm still on probation. FML

yeah you should have used better language, but he shouldn't have been annoying like that. just cause he's your manager shouldn't mean he gets to be obnoxious.

YDI for not saying please. :)

Even if it wasn't the GM, how would this have been appropriate at work? You can't talk like that to your coworkers, unless you're all good friends who always mess around with each other.

Manners. Use them. Your fault.

"I'm still on probation" Not anymore! :D Really, though--if you were still on probation, you'd think you'd be cognizant enough to say, "Would the PERSON who's whistling please stop? I have an awful headache." But you don't want your job.

way to go? next time ask more politely..
