Merry Christmas!

By yek - This FML is from back in 2015 but it's good stuff - Israel - Tel Aviv

Today, I'm spending Christmas Eve at the hospital. Why? Because when I blew my nose, a ball of flesh connected to a tendril of skin shot out, and it wouldn't go back up. FML

I just want to know how this is medically possible

This appears to be a common nasal polyp, which is a nuisance but NOT a dangerous condition. Nasal polyps most commonly occur in people with asthma or allergic sinusitis and rhinitis (up to a third of patients with allergic asthma my have nasal polyps. Although they are usually smaller and do not protrude like in the OP's case.) IF the OP's nasal polyp is bothersome, the doctors may just snip it off, and then treat any remaining polyps with medication to shrink them. A scary but ultimately non-dangerous scenario. Merry Christmas, OP.

OP it's probably better that you went to the hospital then pushing it back in. Have a speedy recovery

Ouch! I would've fainted then and there had that happened to me. I hope you'll feel better soon, OP.

Dear god! Get well soon OP! And Merry Christmas!

Meh, it's most likely a hardened grain; it if really is flesh you could've just snipped it and went about your day. FYL, OP, and I hope you're feeling better.

? that is intense and messed up. I'm so sorry OP! That would've scared the crap out of me! Hopefully it's an easy fix and a quick recovery.

I need a follow up on this because I have no idea what's going on. What was the tissue? Why didn't they just clip it off and send you home? What condition is this????

Yeh, because I believe everything the FML "doctors" say.
