Misunderstood

Today, after four years of anorexia and lots of recovery, my parents took me out to dinner with my counselor and whole family to celebrate my progress. I ended up eating something that made me vomit everything I ate. My parents now think I am bulmic and are sending me back to counseling. FML

Oh wow. That really sucks. :( I'm sure they'll realize that they're wrong soon, even if they don't believe you when you tell them the truth. Congrats on the recovery, at least. :D

Oh, sorry about that. But congrats at your recovery! I'm sure they'll figure out that they're wrong eventually.

so fukin stupid how the hell do u kno what she looks like??? ur the dumb bitch in this case

I call fake. Most anorexics induce their own vomit from time to time, some patients do it frequently. If you were anorexic and threw up, they wouldn't automatically assume that now you're bulimic. If they didn't take food poisoning into account, then they'd just assume it was the anorexia.

Well, if she'd always been a restrictive type anorexic rather than a binge-purge type anorexic, that wouldn't be the case, would it? Moreover, many anorexics will recover the weight, but then develop bulimia. This also happens a lot, and if she's in recovery, it's a perfectly logical thing for her parents to be looking out for. So...you're just wrong.

lol i know someone who had something similar happen to them.

I disagree with whoever said that if an anorexic is on a restrictive diet, they wouldn't turn to bolemia. It is a well known fact that when somebody with ED-NOS in general is caught, they change tactics.
