Today, I told my mom about the rough time I'm having over my recent break-up, and how I can't help thinking about my ex every single day. Her attempt to console me involved saying, "Pft. I bet he doesn't think about you every day" and walking away. Thanks. FML

Today, I got a phone call from my mother asking me if I was okay. Confused, I asked her what she meant. She then told me that my boyfriend had broken up with me, and she just wanted to make sure I was handling it alright. I had to find out my relationship was over from my mom. FML

Today, I went to my boyfriend's house to break down and cry because his mother hates me for unknown reasons. I walked in, gave him a long hug, and started sobbing. I then saw his mother. She was visiting him to complain about how terrible a person I am. FML

that happened to me too...but as it turns out he did leave me for someone else...and now they are getting married after 4 months....life does go on and you will feel better :)

Well, actually, my guess is she meant he left you for someone else as in he left you to be with someone better than himself. Someone more suited for you, someone who deserves you.

my mom does that. seriously. three breakups. every ******* one she has not stopped bugging me until she has made me bawl my eyes out. one guy I wasn't even sad about losing, and she just made me feel worse and worse about the cheating asshole I was gunna dump anyways and compared him to my first boyfriend until I was crying my eyes out. mothers can be bitchy about this stuff. my heart goes out to you, hun.
