Don't spoil it! Just deal with the screaming for a few days! Then, only when the parrot does something amazing, give it a little orange. But DO NOT SPOIL IT!
Why would you give oranges to a parrot?
You actually gave the parrot more, when it screamed the first time? I think you just got your first lesson on pets ;) Hope you figure it out somehow.
Someone likes her oranges :)
Give it lemons
I'm imagine the screeches changing in intensity until it sounds vaguely satanic. I have a scary brain.
My African Grey does the same thing!
Don't feed it oranges when it screams it's reinforcing the habit of screaming to get what it wants
Why does this have so many YDIs? It's not like OP can help the parrot's screaming without caving and going to the store just to satisfy the bird, which would then reinforce the bad habit. FYL, OP.

Be gentle when you break the news to it, but the parrot needs to go to rehab. It might be screaming now, but the next step is orange juice injections.
