That’s deployment. It’s easier to not call home and distract yourself if the mission your there for. Don’t take it personal. To the reply: oh no- yeah if he is choosing to not call or Skype, that’s no good. Hopefully it gets better soon and he isn’t being shady with anyone over there.
The country he’s in isn’t dangerous and they don’t really have a mission. He just does the random stuff they tell him to do. Like he literally gets to play softball over there. He’s called maybe once in the month he’s been there, when he could be calling a lot more. He’s just choosing not to.
I was in Iraq- I still had time to play video games had internet watched movies. I love my family ALOT but it hurts rgr its worse and leaves you messed up for days after you call home. it distracts you from your job. after I called home each time it was more and more difficult to get back to work- and it got me into trouble. just have patience with him and live the best you can until you are together again. being with a service member is difficult and it takes a strong partner. be strong for him.
