Congrats, OP! Sounds like you have a wonderful future to look forward to. Keep your focus on that.
Congrats
You and your soon-to-be-husband are capable of supporting yourselves. **** what she thinks!
Sooooo why is this a FML then?
Beeeecause the lecture that she's getting is really quite pointless
Maybe they gave the lecture because umm you're only 22???? You I'm JUST got out of high school??
22 isn't as young as many people think. If you're stable, having a child at that age is totally fine.
If you just got out of high school at 22 you're doing something wrong. Either way, she has a job and a fiance. I'm sure she's ready.
My mom had both of her children and a house at 23. I'm not saying everyone will be there or should be there, but people shouldn't be incapable of experiencing adult life just because they are "in their early 20s"
Most people have been out of high school for nearly 5 years by the age of 22. So I don't see that as "just" out of high school..
Listen to your mom and smile affirmatively...and congoz for your settled life ;)
I have parents just like that. That was very insensitive of your mother. If you are happy then she should be happy for you. Congratulations on your pregnancy as well as your engagement and good luck with your future adventures.

I think it's a little too late for the lecture.
Congratulations on the baby!
