How are animal lovers trying to let nature be nature? There aren't fences in nature, for one thing. So since a human is responsible for the deer getting stuck, a human should get them out. Some of the stuff PETA does is a little wack. But don't let that sour you on great charities that are stopping the injustices of the world. Like ASPCA, WWF (World Wildlife Fund) or Humane Society. Look them up, at least! :) One other thing you should research is animal trafficking. (and human trafficking if you can... But that's beside the point!) Animal trafficking is awful and out of control. There is a video I watched on the trafficking of the slow loris. Look it up on YouTube. I hope you find some of this stuff interesting and these things inspiring. P.S just give it a chance. ;)

I'm not sure about the eloquence of answer number ten but our thoughts are the same. I suppose that I applaud your trying to do something smart but that was incredibly stupid. Not sure I believe this one.

i'm not surprised. i've read that they normally attack the people who rescue them... usually when they're stuck like that it's during mating season when their hormones are running high... kinda like Deer Amok Time

YDI for not calling someone specialized. Deer are VERY dangerous, and one that is scared is VERY likely to attack

Aww...that's awful. Feel better!! I'm sorry about your marathon :( Never get that close to a wild animal with antlers or horns...a bull almost broke my dad's elbow by just turning it's head xP. Instead it just tore of the sleeve of his favorite leather jacket.
No good deeds goes unpunished. I know you just wanted to help, but man? That's a wild animal that has been stuck in a fence for who knows how long. He was vulnerable, and you were way, way too close. You're lucky he only smacked you in the hip, he coulda gored you or stomped your arse into the dirt.
