I believe the proper course of action, especially since she's sent you evidence of herself threatening self-harm is to "take it seriously" and acknowledge that you have neither the training or appropriate relationship with the situation to effectively help her through this mental health crisis - Therefore, you refer it to the appropriate emergency responders, who should be able to help her and make sure she's not a threat to herself or others. Probably even take her in to the psych ward for a proper assessment, that sort of thing. [The point being that she will learn rather quickly not to make such threats as an attempt at manipulation/extortion, as she will find herself some combination of stuck in the psych ward for a few days each time, or facing the ire of cops for wasting everyone's time and committing a crime, if she admits to being fully competent/not actually seriously threatening self-harm]
