Nice try

Today, I snuck out of the house to go to a party. When I got back later, I tried climbing back up the rope-ladder I'd set up earlier, leading back through my bedroom window. I was halfway up when it broke free. I sprained both my ankles and had to shamefully ring the doorbell to get back in. FML

Problem 1) Stupidly sneaking out Problem 2) Stupidly setting up a weak rope ladder Problem 3) Being an idiot This brilliant plot was doomed from the start.

Hope you learned some kind of lesson from this, OP.

1: you endangered yourself (possible drinking underaged which could lead to violence, and I mean like a real brutal fight, aswel as other things) 2: if your parents found out, just how worried do you think they would be? Aswel as completely furious of course . 3: the open window could be used by a burglar while you are out, you never know just what might be around in the streets. Etc etc etc, the list could be long with what's wrong with the sneak out attempt, but worst of all, is the fact that by doing it, you worsened the trust your parents had to you! And that is hard to work with and takes time.

Can't blame OP for sneaking out, as if at least half of you haven't done it. On contrary buddy, get a sturdy freaking ladder wether it's rope or aluminum, YDI

Plot Twist: the rope didn't break free on its own. OP's parents secretly waited in his room for him to climb back up..

haha! all for a party? was it Worth it ? realy?

im going to say ydi. not because you snuck out and went to a party but because you didn't set your way back in properly.
