@69 and 70 Cheating is dumb. The reason being is that by cheating you are effectively f-ing yourself over later in life. Didn't learn basic math or problem solving? Too bad you'll need that later in life. If you cheat that means you didn't take the time to retain the information that was taught to you. You probably won't lose sleep over it, however you are merely getting dumber by doing it. Never learned Pythagorean Theorem? Don't become a carpenter or an architect. Don't know how velocity or acceleration work, don't work for NASA or NASCAR. Everything in life is practical application (especially for math). Sure you can use equations later in life but it's a hell of a lot easier to just know it like second nature. As I stated above, people can't even make correct change nowadays without a calculator. That is just sad... IT'S BASIC ARITHMETIC! I could really care less if you do or don't cheat. The problem being is that by cheating you are really hurting yourself in the future. Oh, and to the people saying that well I use a calculator or a computer, etc. What happens if they get a glitch and output the wrong answer. Wouldn't you like to have a basic understanding that 2+2 = 4 versus having a computer glitch tell you 2+2 = 5 and taking it at face value?
In response to #73 I have to say yes, if you cheat yourself out of learning fundamentals and theories then you are screwing yourself over later in life. But just because someone cheats doesn't mean they don't understand how to do something, when most people I know cheat it's on something they could very easily do, but don't have the time or effort to do so. Most cheating isn't out of need but out of convenience. When you cheat on something because you have no clue how to do it, then you might have problems later. And I disagree that everything in math is a practical application, math teachers often tell us something will have no practical application in life.
Thats really stupid..
You got cheated. What kind of math teacher tests you on memorizing equations?
hmmm...well, now we know why you had to cheat!
A lot of people need to calm down.. its just one math test.. its probably stupid equations that are all rather similar like ellipses and hyperbolas and stuff so the OP just decided to write down the equations.. you still have to know how to do the problem in order to do it.. and in probably 95-99% of the careers the average person will pursue you wont need to know how to graph a hyperbola or something else of that matter.. and although i also think that people should be able to give change in their heads.. a calculator never thinks 2 + 2 = 5... ever.. yes its an absolute never ever.

Pride before the fall. Try not to be so cocky next time you cheat.
That's just poor planning on your part. If you're not using the inside of your water bottle label, or the visor of your baseball cap YDI.
