I have very long, thick hair. I only get a trim but I do notice the difference in weight. Now if someone has had half a pony tail cut off, that they should notice! I once had my hair cut from past my shoulder length to a pixie cut. I felt like I had lost 5 kilo's. It makes a difference. OP I feel for you. That sounds like a horrible thing to experience. Atleast now you can change your hairstyle into a cute bob! :) Chin up kiddo.

I'm with the crowd wondering how you managed not to notice.. but there's been more than enough comments like that so I'll skip it. So hey, maybe you'll look cute with shorter hair. You never know! Go to your hairstylist and get it trimmed up and get some layers and stuff and I'll bet you'll love it. I never understood the point in having really long hair, anyway, but I can assure you it's not the end of the world and that it will grow back.

I seen a doc where ladies in India were getting their pony tails stolen.... and suprisingly alot of them didn't know it had been cut. so I guess it's possible.... fyl
