Sometimes there just isn't any kind of connection. I have had that happen twice. One was with a boyfriend (first time with him) and he ended up never calling me again and moving and changing his number (ops life could be worse). The other was with a one night event that lasted only seconds before he blew his load- we ended up being good friends instead. Awkward sex happens.

That sucks, but it happens. He seemed to be pretty nice about it though. He felt awkward later on and texted you. I think it would been worse if he said let's not do it again right after it happened.

I'm sorry OP. He should have been open with you and tell you what you could have done to make it more pleasurable for him (works vise versa too). Decent, pleasurable sex requires communication from both parties. My ex boyfriend told my best friend that I was terrible in bed because I didn't make noise. I heard it from my best friend, and my ex never communicated that to me. In my defense, every time I made noise he told me to shush because his dad might hear. (His dad is on disability so he lived with his dad to support him) We only had sex a few times in the time we dated but it still really hurt my feelings and my ego.
