Today, I finally found out why my graphics card in my PC had been overheating recently. My brother disconnected the card's fan because it was too loud when he was gaming. I guess I can always spend another $750. FML

you clearly don't know anything about how the cooling system on a graphics card works. so let me clarify. there are three big components to a graphics card the board itself, the heat pipes and the fans. the board it the thing that does all of the things you buy it for like rendering, gaming ect. then there are the HEAT PIPES which you so ignorantly claimed he did not have, if you look closely at any high end graphics card you will see pipes with the diameter of .25 cm these are the heat pipes they deliver the heat from the graphics card to the fans so the fans can disperse the heat. if you had them and no fan you would get very hot pipes and still be in the situation op is in right now which is why the fans are SO. DAMN. IMPORTANT

I use a computer that NEEDS for large fans and a radiator. I have never noticed how loud that was until I first cleaned it out. That beast is right next to my head.

I call BS on this. Only a handful of graphic cards are $500. You can buy a top of the line NVIDIA 9xxti for about $300. Also any video card without a shield and having an easy to unplug fan sure the hell didn't cost you no $750. I'm gonna go with "contrived FML"
