Noise annoys

Today, I went to a Jack's Mannequin concert. I'd asked this girl I'm interested in to come with me, and she insisted that she had to bring her two year-old son with us. I'd told her it was no problem. Ten minutes into it, she said we needed to leave because it was too loud for him. FML

Bringing a two-year-old on what you wanted to be a date? You set yourself up for that one.

You went to a Jack's Mannequin concert. Your life is awesome.

I hope you didn't leave. She most likely was just testing you to see if you left on her command. I understand your kids being a huge part of your life but rather then accept she could of said I'd love to but how about we meet up after the concert since I'd rather not get a baby sitter to go and it's no place for him to be.

...my ears are still ringing from Ted Nugent in 1972.

YDI for confusing a Jack Mannequin concert with Disney on Ice. I don't even know who this Jack guy is but I know it's no place for a baby.

I've never been to a Jack's Mannequin show, but with a basic knowledge of music, I know they're one of the loudest bands out there... Just like I know I shouldn't take my grandma to a Wu Tang show... If you're going to take a three year old to a concert, JM is about the WORST

I've seen JM multiple times and they are LOUD. So loud I couldn't hear the people next to me and we were screaming at each other. The girl should never have taken her kid, even if it wasn't a "traditional" date.

OK, Jack's Mannequin may turn it up to 11, but you can't possibly say that it's "the WORST" when it comes to exposing a child to something. I mean, have you ever seen a metal band? Gigantic sweaty dudes with long sweaty hair and tons of metal accessories pummeling into each other as speakers get blown with guttural screams? I haven't seen JM, so I can't speak from experience, but I've seen Something Corporate more than once, I've seen a member of Wu Tang (Ghostface Killah, to be exact), and I've seen several metal bands (Mastodon, Dethklok, Baroness, etc). I'd say Andrew McMahon's incarnations are on the tamer side in the concert-loudness continuum.

Oh God if i knew u i would cut you up! jacks mannequin is the best band out there!

She is obviously unclear on the concept of concerts. Concerts are meant to be loud. She should have brought earplugs or earmuffs for herself and the little ankle biter. As for you, you clearly deserved this one. This is what you can expect if you marry her.

You dodged a bullet. Anybody stupid enough to bring a young child to a concert certainly isn't someone I'd want to have anything to do with.
