I grew up in the Denver area. When I was in college in Tacoma, I had a classmate from Oregon ask me, with complete seriousness, how we cleaned our outhouses, what it was like heating our bathwater on a wood stove, and how long it took us to get into downtown from the suburbs, riding horses. In her ignorant little Left-Coastie mind, everything East of Portland was "obviously" still operating at an 1870's level. I'm frankly a little surprised the OP even knows the East Coast exists, (outside of New York City and maybe Miami), and it doesn't surprise me at all she wouldn't know Rhode Island isn't actually an island. Judging by her FML, she probably didn't even know it's a state.
Just please keep in mind that not all of us are ignorant! It's only the ones closer to the coast line...The rest of us in the midland are actually very smart. Even though I grew up on the coast so... meh. It's the ones that don't pay attention in school. I bet the OP is blond!
Bahahahaha. I live in Australia, have never been to the US, and even I know Rhode Is isn't actually an island.
shit man i live in ireland and i knew that! hahaha
goodluck in college - dumbass
Wow! I live in South Africa, and even I know that Rhode Island is on the East Coast!
I live in nj and I sorta just notice that 2months ago.. fml
As a native of California, I'm slightly offended. But I'm taking a bigger interest in the fact that the comments from many easterners have poor writing. First of all, not everyone who lives on the west coast is a retard, and we do not live in our own "bubble." Furthermore, "I even knew Rhode Island isn't an island." isn't correct. Keep your past/presents consistent! "I even know Rhode Island isn't an island," is correct. Clearly, college-level English is lacking in other countries as well.
ya... ur dumb
