Not a geography major

Today, I had an interview for a college. The college is in Rhode Island. I live on the West coast. When I asked the interviewer if they got to the mainland by boat or by some other form of transportation, he told me Rhode Island is not an island. FML

wow how can you be so ignorant, you are probably one of those stuck-up, spoiled rich bitchy girls from orange county, do us all a favor and stay where you belong and you can live off that trust fund your daddy has been saving up

You have some anger problems, mister. Not all stupid people in California are rich, there are plenty of stupid people in the ghetto as well.

i'm honestly not bothered by the fact she didn't know it wasn't an island, it's the fact that she had the audacity to post it here for thousands of others to read so we were supposed to feel sorry for her..... get over it

You won't get in, but you will make a great story for the recruiter to share...

Its not like they are going to call it Rhode Peninsula... Really, I don't even see how you graduated from Elementary school cause I'm pretty sure I learned that in the second grade.. Do you think New England is in Western Europe? You might want to look into Junior College cause i think Rhode Island is out of the picture.. I doubt you will be getting a call back from that school.

People confuse Long Island and Rhode Island a lot, which I guess is fair if you live far away and don't care to know which places are states and which are regions. But I'm surprised you'd apply to a college without any idea of the place's geography. Wouldn't it be relevant to know you're an hour from Boston or an hour from the beach? Or how you'd get anywhere along the East Coast?

do they not teach you US geography in california? i'm glad they taught us that in rhode island at least. in elementary school too.

RIC's not a great school, which explains why this kid might not have known that RI isn't an island. Still...you're an dumbass.
