Oh, the irony

Today, I called the police regarding people speeding down my street, because I was worried for my young kids. On the way home from my daughter's ballet class, I got pulled over two blocks away from my house and got a $150 speeding ticket. FML

You must be the person down the street who stalked me and berated me for doing a moving stop at the stop sign in front of your house because "you were concerned for your kids." Yeah, I'd be concerned about my kids too if they didn't know not to play in the street at 11:30 on a Monday night. Give me a break.

Soo when you're in your front lawn and your kids are playing on the street/lawn, its not okay for someone to be speeding. BUT. When you know your kids are safe and sound say in the house, it makes it okay for you to speed down the road because its not your kids that are in harms way? YDI. God damn.
