Ugh, why can't people just let other people make their own life choices? It's not like you chose to be be a religious extremist or something - you being a vegan doesn't negatively impact them or others in any way. What do they care what you eat as long as you're healthy? Just walk away and ignore them and try and talk to your dad later.
I'm sorry but life without meats?? Come on, steak is amazing!!
One word. Bacon.
I don't see why you people can wear wool, the sheep just grow it baaaaack! If you hold kooky, fringe beliefs, you need to expect that the mainstream is going to pick on you. You have to stand up strong, like I do for the Phlogiston Theory.
Vegans make me more sad than vegetarians do. But hey, if you want to fill your life with soy, go for it.
There's no joy in soy.
You don't have to eat soy if you are a vegan or vegetarian.
Interventions should be for REAL problems, not stupid shit like meat vs. no meat.
I respect and defend your foolish decision to live your life without yummy, tasty, juicy, delicious meat. In fact I hope more people become vegan, with the impending worldwide bacon shortage, that means more crispy, delicious bacon for me...
People can be annoying like that. One of the favourite anti-vegetarian/vegan arguments is that we are designed to eat meat. This is true - we are biologically designed to be omnivores and our prehistoric ancestors would have eaten meat, probably raw. However, we are also biologically designed to be naked, hairy, start having children at roughly age 12, and to die by middle-age. Biology is no longer a driver for the way we live. OP's dad should respect their child's decision. However, as most of the FMLs here are fundamentally about people disrespecting each other's life choices, I'm not surprised by his attitude.

I don't care if it's a meat, vegetable, fruit, or an freaking article of clothing. If it's delicious, I'll eat it. if it's not delicious, put hot sauce on it. Then it's delicious and I'll eat it.
